Team Up for Families (TUFF) is a peer-based national learning collaborative of people who share the challenge of raising children and youth with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and other special health needs. Our Family Road Map guide, workshops, support groups, and coaching curricula are designed to guide family caregivers to better services by helping them gain the skills and knowledge they need to navigate health and education systems. Collaborative members undergo nine hours of instruction and other practicum requirements to become Certified Trainers and Facilitators in the Family Road Map Curriculum. Most members of our TUFF Learning Collaborative work within community-based agencies that serve children, youth, and their families. All these individuals and organizations collaborate and adapt these tools to the unique needs of their own communities. Our collaborative is an evolving infrastructure, as no two communities are alike or have identical needs.
